It’s been a while since I’ve done a Smile Pile, but consider this my way of telling you guys we ARE gonna have an episode this week. Things are just a bit delayed coz we’ve got some junk going on in the real world.
The first volume of Locke and Key was one of our favorite minis to come out last year. We can’t wait to read the new set subtitled HEAD GAMES as well as talk about the rest of the week’s awesome books.

Spider-man goes noir-ish in this new Elseworlds-esque thing Marvel’s playing around with. I have no idea what to expect, but it the X-Men thingamagoogle was any indication, this should be pretty sweet.

In the previous issue, Secret Six #3, our favorite villains somehow got their hands on a “Get out of hell free” card made by the devil himself! This issue fills us in on exactly how a team of baddies reacts to a revelation like that, not to mention a whole cadre of other evildoers who are after them and the prized artifact!

Batman #680 seems to have ended with us finding out who the black glove really is and the caped crusader falling into the apparently conniving clutches of one Jezebel Jet. Batman #681 comes out this week and concludes the R.I.P. storyline. I have no idea what to expect from EJ and Alex, but I will say those two better not fucking spoil! — John

I am loving the Old Man Logan storyline by Millar and McNiven, so I can’t wait for Wolverine #69 to hit the stand this week. The last issue revealed the intentions of Hawkeye’s daughter/Rosario Dawson, so let’s see what Wolverine/Samurai X/Gandhi decides to do about it!!!
Not a big week for Marvel as far as I can tell, but here’s what else I can’t wait to grab this week:

I honestly don’t know anyone who isn’t enjoying the current Thor run, and I have in fact never been a fan of the guy. Stracszynski and Coipel, what a team. Thor #11 comes out this week and I absolutely cannot wait.
