  1. I did not agree to posting the gratuitous immoral sexy picture! it iis.. uhhh.. not.. riigh… *droooool* what’s right and wrong these days anyway?

  2. I do agree with EJ (it was EJ wasn’t it?) with regards to Frank Quitely. He’s an amazing artist. Anything he draws would definitely be a visual treat. The thing with him is that once in a while he would draw really ugly goofy faces on people who are supposed to be good looking. Mind you, these are beautifully drawn ugly faces.

  3. I’m also a fan of the series. I’m thinking Philip would be a great artist to replace Quitely. His works are just intense… and yeah, Quitely’s not leaving for good anyway ’cause he’s got some more Batman and Robin covers up his sleeves. I love what he did for issue #5.

  4. During the Metro Comic Con, Andrew Drilon pointed out that what the local scene needs is a really serious comic book reviewer or critic.

Someone who won’t be afraid to say that the comic book sucks and will not hold back in saying what’s wrong with the comic book.

The first people that came to mind were Ramon de Veyra and Adam David. But listening to you guys now… I think you guys should be it! The only problem is, you don’t have immediate access to all the local stuff.

(Did EJ buy any books from the MCC?)

    Well, it’s just a thought. :)

  5. Thanks for the vote of confidence in our objectivity, man. I’m actually not sure if EJ was able to, but this second TK season we’re definitely going to cover local books once again.

  6. It’s very difficult to find those kinds of people, Budj, because to remain objective, they need to be people who do not create comics. A lot of people writing about comics, like myself, also work in comics, so it’s really hard. Plus, whoever that guy or gal is, they’ll become hated, the same way The Comics Journal is hated by a lot of people working in the industry. Whoever has the stomach to do that, I’ll salute them with all the body parts I have.

  7. Ok, you know, I think we can be objective. Maybe the trick is not being asses about it. Like if Jeph Loeb were Filipino *urrk..* maybe we’d lessen the insults but still say his work is inadequate, predictable, or not so good as opposed to lame, sucky, and horrible.
